Set in a historic and vibrant community where culture, race and gentrification collide, Single In Harlem is an Internet real estate & dating reality show that showcases upscale living in Harlem. Single In Harlem centers around Thomas Lopez-Pierre, a hard charging and opinionated licensed real estate broker. Thomas has this idea to generate new business opportunities by producing an online show that helps his single customers find both a place to live and a date at a Harlem restaurant. Thomas will select three housing options to show his customer based on his customers' stated preferences (location, amenities and budget). Waiting at each of the three potential homes will be another single person who is interested in being selected by Thomas' customer for a date.

Throughout, Single In Harlem cameras will follow Thomas as he maneuvers the conversation between discussions about the benefits of this particular home, the Harlem community in general and the woman interested in being selected for a date. After having the chance to view all three potential homes and meet three single people, Thomas' customer will be offered the opportunity to select one of the three housing options to live in and one of the single people to go out on a date (assuming that both parties agree). Cameras will follow Thomas' customer and the single person selected for their date as they dine at a Harlem restaurant. Single In Harlem will seek to provide viewers with an inside look into the new upscale standard of living being enjoyed today by thousands of people, representing all racial groups in Harlem.

In Single In Harlem, real estate will be about three things: sell, rent and get paid. Thomas will take viewers on tours of Harlem's best housing stock: million dollar 19th century brownstones and newly built shimmering glass hi-rise tower luxury condominiums. Single In Harlem will showcase some of Harlem's best Neighborhoods, Mount Morris Park, Strivers Row, Hamilton Heights, El Barrio and Harlem's most active boulevards, Martin Luther King, Frederick Douglass, Adam Clayton Powell Jr. and Malcolm X: the epicenter of shopping, entertainment, dining and nightlife that makes Harlem such a historic and vibrant community. In each episode, viewers will be introduced to the best housing that Harlem has to offer.

In Single In Harlem, dating will be about three things: sexy women, successful men and the new upscale standard of living in Harlem. Single In Harlem will showcase the lives of single professionals struggling to find a place to live while meeting someone new to date. In the last 10 years, thousands of people have bypassed more expensive areas of Manhattan and flocked to Harlem for more affordable housing - turning it into one of the best places in New York to not only live but find and enjoy a great date. Single In Harlem will explore the opportunities created by this influx, the surprising ways in which race, gender and class differences manifest themselves in the dating life of professionals in Harlem. Harlem provides the perfect backdrop for dating with its blend of racial groups, social classes and sexual orientations.

Single In Harlem will NOT be just about real estate, dating and enjoying the upscale lifestyle afforded to the small but growing social elite of Harlem. Single In Harlem will never be afraid to contend with the divisive, contentious social and political issues that are helping to shape the "new" Harlem. The series will be smart, provocative and controversial. Single In Harlem will have you laughing with recognition of people, places and things. Single In Harlem will entertain while at the same time leave viewers feeling smarter and more empowered.

The show will air on LiveUptown.com, a Harlem real estate website that specializes in helping users search for the best homes for sale and Harlem apartments for rent: No Fee and Low Fee. Upscale lifestyle video content that revolves around Harlem will be a key growth strategy for LiveUptown.com in 2011 and beyond (i.e.: reality shows, neighborhood profiles, restaurant reviews, society news and home improvement programs). For local and national advertisers, Single In Harlem will in effect serve as an infomercial, showcasing luxury housing, products, services and businesses established for Harlem's new social elite.

Single In Harlem will follow the below format:

1) Cameras will follow Thomas and his customer to three homes for rent or sale where in each home there will be a single person who is interested in being selected by Thomas' customer for a date at a Harlem restaurant;

2) Once Thomas' customer has had a chance to visit each of the three homes for rent or sale and meet the three single people, cameras will record Thomas debriefing his customer on the merits of each of the homes and each of the single people. Thomas' customer will then select his new home and the single person he would like to have his date with.

With the selection process completed (new home and date), cameras will then feature a number of short clips of businesses that will enable Thomas' customer to maintain his upscale lifestyle in Harlem - all located within a ten black radius of Thomas' customer new home;

3) Cameras will then follow Thomas' customer to the Harlem restaurant where his date will be waiting to enjoy a pleasant dinner. At the end of the date, Thomas' customer and the single person will be debrief by Thomas as to the interest level of either party to have a second date or quit while there ahead.
